Flow Traders is looking for a Team Lead to join and lead our growing Trading Automation team in New York. This is a unique opportunity to join a leading proprietary trading firm with an entrepreneurial and innovative culture at the heart of its business. As a member and lead of Trading Automation team, you will work within our technology landscape on creating direct impact for our core business through the development of applications that enhances data frameworks, streamline workflows, facilitate efficiency, and unlock growth prospects. In this role, you will be responsible for developing applications, services, mentoring team members and managing stakeholders. Your actions will directly contribute to the performance of the company. You will also get the opportunity to interact and work closely with the global Trading Automation team and different departments to gain a well-rounded knowledge of start-to-end trading landscape, how they function and integrate within our ecosystem.

 

What You Will Do

  • Manage and mentor a team of software engineers delivering solutions for trading and other business units
  • Collaborate with various local and global stakeholders for project management
  • Seek out and identify inefficiencies and implement automation solutions
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for team products

 

What You Need to Succeed

  • University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or other quantitative fields
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • 7+ years working experience in software development with extensive front-office & financial markets experience
  • Series certification (SIE 57) preferred
  • Strong software development skills in Python, Golang
  • Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems'
  • Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka (knowledge of distributed systems is advantageous)

Where candidates will fall within the range depends on a few different factors including but not limited to level of experience, location, and specific skill set. We also consider ourselves one global team, and to demonstrate that, all employees are eligible to share in the company’s success through an annual discretionary variable remuneration allocated based on company, group and individual performance and contribution.

Per the NYC Salary Transparency Law, the total compensation for this role includes a base of $200,000 - $250,000 plus annual discretionary variable remuneration.
