Business Support has various responsibilities such as maintaining and improving our risk management frameworks, completing the reconciliation & the resolving of trades and ensuring our operations are conducted in accordance with all global & local regulations and policies, to name a few.

Our Hiring Process for Our Business Support Teams

1. Applying for a role at Flow Traders

Submit your CV and a cover letter highlighting your skills, experience and qualifications relevant to the position.

2. Interview with a Recruiter

Discuss your motivation, the role at Flow Traders and your expectations. There will also be a chance to cover any questions you may have about the role.

3. Interview with the your potential team

This will focus on the skills required for the role. This stage can take place through a video call or face-to-face meeting at the Flow Traders office.

4. Interview with the Hiring Manager

During the final round you will meet with your Manager to ask any outstanding questions you may have, meet the rest of the team, and experience our office environment.

Only penultimate and final year students are eligible to apply for the Graduate Trader program at Flow Traders. However, we encourage all students to come meet us at any of our upcoming events. All events can be found on our Career Events page.

We open applications for the Graduate Software Development program a year before the start date. Please be aware that we do not have a deadline for submitting applications, when all openings have been filled the position will be closed automatically.

The Graduate Trader position is open all year round and we recruit students on a rolling basis. There are four intakes for this program per year.

Passion and motivation are essential elements to being successful in the Graduate Trader position. Below are some ways to learn more about trading that we share with students:

Start following what’s happening in the financial markets by keeping up with the news
Set up a mock or real trading portfolio or participate in trading competitions
Play games of statistics and strategy
Spend some time practicing your mental math skills

This test is a key stage of our Graduate Trader recruitment process where candidates have 10 minutes to solve 75 questions using only mental arithmetic. Practice is the key to attaining a passing grade and we strongly encourage all candidates to do so using the following link.

Yes, we aim to provide our candidates with the best experience. If you do not live in the location of your interview, our Recruitment Team will take care of planning your trip to our office, and will book your flights and accommodation.

We trade using proprietary and scalable software with many of our applications developed in-house. This includes pricing and trading software, market data processing tools, pre-trade risk controls, and other risk and compliance tools. One of our software platform’s core features is its modular design which allows us to rapidly test and implement ongoing enhancements.

Our talented Software Engineers take advantage of the latest technologies to maintain and improve our cutting-edge trading environment. With a strong focus on code quality and maintainability, our C++ and Core Java Developers design and build the software suite that keeps Flow Traders ahead of our industry peers.

During the interviews our Engineers will be looking at your technical strengths in combination with the business knowledge you possess. Graduate Developers will experience working in a few different teams during the program. Based on your performance and ambitions you will decide together with your mentor which development team fits you best.

This test is primarily used across our technology positions and consists of technical questions related to the role you are applying for. These tests can either be in a MCQ or an open-ended format. You can find some useful information here.
